In the first four months of this year, 8.3 percent more meat products were produced in the capital than in January-April 2022. This was announced by Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Efimov.
"In January-April 2023, the city produced 8.3 percent more meat products: sausages, sausages, semi-finished meat products, cuts and snacks than in the same period last year. The capital's meat processing industry is represented by more than 20 enterprises that employ about 14 thousand people. Every year, the plants increase the range of products and the capacity of their sites, expanding the fleet of modern equipment," said Vladimir Yefimov.
Three meat enterprises have the status of an industrial complex, which allows them to receive tax benefits and direct the savings to their own development.
"The capital's food factories and manufacturers of meat products in particular today are actively seeking financial assistance in the form of preferential and targeted loans. Thus, preferential loans for the implementation of investment projects totaling 6.6 billion rubles have been approved for three large meat processing plants," said the head of the capital Department of Investment and Industrial Policy Vladislav Ovchinsky.
In total, over 250 food producers work in the capital, more than 60 thousand people are employed at the sites.
