Nikolay Plaskunov, General Director of Vakinskoe Agro, Ryazan region, shared the results of the company's work in 2021. He said that last year the company produced 1800 tons of milk more than in 2020, and increased the volume of processing by 29%.

Our farm is already recognized as one of the most technologically advanced and modern in Russia. Our robotic farm is one of the largest in Europe, and the milking parlour of the "carousel" type is the second in Russia in terms of equipment,’ said Nikolay Plaskunov.
In September 2021, the second stage of the livestock complex worth 1.5 billion rubles for 2,300 forage-fed cows was put into operation. The grand opening was attended by high-ranking guests, and the general director of LLC Vakinskoe Agro Sergey Turta, together with the head of the region Nikolay Lyubimov, jointly launched the new complex - a milking parlour of the "carousel" type.
In addition to the milking parlour a "carousel" for 80 cows, the complex includes maternity and dry cow departments, cowsheds, grounds for calves with technical rooms, lagoons, a passage, a complex of silage and haylage trenches. In the autumn of 2021, two calf sheds, manure separation sites and a veterinary unit were built. The livestock consists of 1,808 cows, 428 pregnant heifers and 64 first calvers. Out of a total of 2,300 heads, 1,045 new animals were brought in, and the rest were transferred from the first complex.
It is planned that due to the new complex, the company will be able to receive additionally 19.6 thousand tons of milk per year. Meanwhile, Vakinskoye Agro is one of the three regional leaders in gross milk yield, and when it reaches its design capacity in 2022, it will be able to reach an indicator of more than 54 thousand tons of milk per year, due to the production of 148 tons of milk daily at the enterprise.
As the executive director of Vakinskoe Agro Nikolay Plaskunov says, a high result was obtained due to the well-coordinated work of the entire team, decent working conditions and competent management.
The expansion of the livestock section has affected the volume of dairy products. The gross yield was about 40 thousand tons, and the average yield per forage-fed cow was about 9.5 thousand kg of milk. The automatic dairy plant began to produce more finished products. According to the preliminary results of the year, Vakinskoe Agro produced almost 1800 tons more milk than in 2020. Milk processing has increased, compared to last year, by almost a third, namely by 29%. The production of drinking milk, sour cream, cream, fermented milk drinks, cottage cheese, curd mass, cheese "Brynza" has increased.
The plant expanded the line of curd products, releasing curd mass with candied fruits. Also, new items have appeared in the assortment: kefir with a fat content of 2.5% in the package of 0.47 g, milk with a fat content of 2.5% and 3.4% in the package of 1.43 liters. In the future, the plant will expand the cottage cheese shop, which is due to the demand for such products from the consumers.
