One of the largest poultry producers from Mordovia has received the right to supply its poultry products to China, Rosselkhoznadzor reported.

Its name is not reported. The General Administration of Customs (GCU) of the People's Republic of China confirmed that the enterprise is included in the list of approved products for the supply of offal and poultry meat. In this case, we are talking about chicken feet - a revered product in the Celestial Empire. They are respectfully called “Phoenix legs.” It is a local delicacy and part of the traditional snack. Chicken feet are used in almost any form in the country - in the national cuisine there are many recipes where they are boiled, fried and even pickled or stewed. Moreover, the country is not the only, but the largest importer of them.

At the same time, China has very strict requirements for the import of this product. In particular, the deformation of the supplied paws must be no more than five percent; they cannot have hematomas, hemorrhages, black growths or yellow skin. The Mordovian manufacturer confirmed compliance with the necessary requirements. However, the specific volumes of these products that it will be able to supply are also not reported. Based on the average production volume of such goods in Russia, it ranges from 80 to 100 pieces per month, Rosselkhoznadzor clarified. The smaller of these figures is consumed by one of the medium-sized factories in China. Thus, even an average Russian producer of chicken feet is able to fully satisfy the needs of the Chinese market.
