Specialists of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Primorsky Territory spoke about the results of work in some segments of agriculture in the region in 2022. Pork production in the region exceeded 76,000 tons, which showed an increase of more than 140% compared to the previous year, reports news agency DEITA.RU.

Pork production volumes increased by almost 2.5 times due to the implementation of large investment projects for the industrial production of pork by such companies as Rusagro-Primorye, Mercy Trade and Primorsky Bacon.

The head of the region, Oleg Kozhemyako, during the January hearings on the socio-economic development of the regions following the results of 2022, emphasized that just a few years ago, in 2018, Primorsky Krai could not boast of the production of pork or poultry on an industrial scale.

The Minister of Agriculture of the Primorsky Territory Andrey Bronts notes that last year the region produced 76.6 thousand tons of pork, which is 141.7% compared to 2021. Primorye is fully provided with pork, and seaside meat is also supplied to the Altai Republic.
