The Yuzhny poultry complex in Ingushetia plans to double the production of turkey meat. This was announced during a live broadcast by the head of the republic, Mahmud-Ali Kalimatov.
“We built and put it into operation in 1.5 years. Now the second stage, there will already be more than 10 thousand {tons} of turkey, now 5 thousand {tons},” Kalimatov said.
As RBC Kavkaz reported, in the rural settlement of Yuzhny, Malgobek district of Ingushetia, an investment project is being implemented to create a vertically integrated poultry complex for the industrial production and processing of turkey meat
The initiator of the project and the general director of the enterprise is Adam Kostoev. “The project is being implemented at ten sites with a total area of 132 hectares. Of these, six sites have already been put into operation,” he said.
In 2021, the first phase of the agricultural enterprise was put into operation. Last year, Yuzhny Poultry Complex launched a turkey meat processing plant. The meat processing plant produces products with a volume of 20 to 40 tons daily. It produces 4.5 thousand tons of meat per year. Upon reaching full capacity, the complex will produce between 10.5 and 11 thousand tons of turkey meat per year.
According to Kostoev, the cost of the first stage amounted to 2.3 billion rubles. The cost of the second stage due to the increase in prices may reach 2.5-2.7 billion rubles.
