All news / Prices of food producers slightly increased in Russia in July

Over the past month, prices for Russian food products from domestic producers increased by one and a half percent from the level of June, follows from the data of Rosstat.

At the same time, the growth rate of production accelerated noticeably. For example, back in June, the difference with May was only 0.4 percent, or 1.1% lower. Over the past month, prices rose by 0.3 percent from the same period last year. In general, food prices have risen by 3.6 percent since the beginning of this year.

Of the specific goods, the price of fresh mutton and finished products made from slaves increased most noticeably – by 21.3 and 18.9 percent. Prices for cake and other solid residues of vegetable fats or oils increased by 15.9%, frozen crustaceans - 13.6%, noodles - 12.4%, frozen fish fillets - 9.3%. At the same time, modified starches fell by more than 26 percent, canned fish by 12.7 percent, and starch syrup by 10.5 percent. The prices of beverage producers in July decreased by a fraction of a percent, but since the beginning of the year they have increased by 4.1, and compared to July last year - by 4.5.

In dynamics, food producer prices have been declining since June last year. In that month, the decrease was 1.1, in July - 1.6. In August, the rate of decline fell to 0.4, in September it rose again to 0.9, in October to 1.4, in November it fell again to 0.9, and in December to 0.4. However, since February of this year, goods began to rise in price - first by half a percent, and in subsequent months - by 0.4, 0.1, 0.7 and again 0.4%.
