At the end of last year, the production of turkey hatching eggs in Russia increased by almost 50% compared to production volumes in 2022. This was reported by the consulting agency Agrifood Strategies.

Over the past 2 years, the production of turkey hatching eggs in the country has increased by 90%. If in 2021 the country produced 15.1 million turkey hatching eggs, then in 2023 production volumes reached 28.2 million.

“This dynamic has made it possible to significantly reduce the dependence of Russian turkey farming on supplies from abroad and increase its biosecurity,” the report says.

The leader in terms of production volumes remains the company Aviagen Torcase Rus. In 2023, the company produced 11 million turkey hatching eggs. It accounts for over a third of the total production volume in the country.

In second place is “Turkey Dvor”, where last year they produced 10.5 million hatching eggs.

“Breeding Turkey” in the Tyumen region produced 4.3 million turkey hatching eggs at the end of last year. The company's plans for this year are to increase production volumes to 10 million.

The Morozovskaya poultry farm produced 2.3 million eggs last year.

“The effective operation of the Donskaya Turkey complex, which last year produced more than 1.7 million day-old turkey poults for producers, has been a good help for the industry. The company does not have its own incubation facilities. The plans include launching our own parent herd,” the consulting agency clarified.
