A delegation of the DPRK Committee for Quality Control of Import-Export Products and Quarantine arrived on a visit to Vladivostok, reports the Rosselkhoznadzor department for the Primorsky Territory.
“The North Korean side has shown high interest in the possibility of supplying live farm animals from Russia. The delegates asked questions about the requirements and procedure for Russian veterinary control,” the service said in a statement.
The purpose of the visit is to get acquainted with the Russian system of ensuring quarantine phytosanitary and veterinary control. The parties discussed the delivery procedure, including the conditions that apply to export and import products of various types, methods and equipment for laboratory control.
The DPRK delegation will fly to Moscow on June 26, where it will continue working until July 5. The visit is taking place in accordance with the agreements reached during the 10th meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
