From May 16, 2022, Rosselkhoznadzor introduced restrictions on the supply of poultry products to Russia from regions of the United States and Canada that are unfavorable for bird flu. This is stated in the message of the department.

Rosselkhoznadzor introduces temporary restrictions on the supply of live poultry and poultry products from the US state of Utah and the Canadian provinces of New Brunswick and Manitoba from May 16, 2022.

The Rosselkhoznadzor explained that the ban includes the supply of live poultry, hatching eggs, poultry meat, finished poultry meat products (with the exception of goods subjected to processing that ensures the destruction of avian influenza viruses, in accordance with the provisions of the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code), feed and feed additives for birds (with the exception of feed and feed additives of plant origin, chemical and microbiological synthesis), used equipment for keeping, slaughtering and cutting birds. In addition, the transit of live birds through the territory of Russia is limited.
