Rosselkhoznadzor continues to record an increase in exports from Russia of beef, pork, horse meat and a decrease in imports of certain types of meat.
Beef
According to the information system of the Rosselkhoznadzor "Argus", since the beginning of 2021 23.7 thousand tons of beef have been sent abroad from Russia - 2.2 times more than in the same period last year (then this figure was 10 , 6 thousand tons).
The main buyer of this type of meat is China, where 15.2 thousand tons of products were delivered, which is almost 3 times more compared to the period from January 1 to October 17, 2020.
Kazakhstan is also among the main importers of Russian beef in 2021, which purchased 1.77 thousand tons of products. Exports there increased 2.2 times, from 793 tons.
The first three countries to which Russia supplies the largest volumes of beef are closed by Saudi Arabia. Exports to this country since the beginning of the year amounted to 1.51 thousand tons, the volume of shipments increased by 34% per year (from January 1 to October 17, 2020, 1.13 thousand tons were delivered to Saudi Arabia).
It should also be noted a noticeable increase in beef supplies to Uzbekistan - 3.4 times (from 68 to 233 tons).
At the same time imports of this meat decreased. According to the information system "Argus", since the beginning of the year it amounted to 153 thousand tons - 13% less than in the same period last year (then this figure was 176.8 thousand tons).
Pork
The Rosselkhoznadzor also recorded an increase in pork exports. From January 1 to October 17 this year, deliveries of these products abroad amounted to 102.8 thousand tons. For the year, shipments increased by 19% (from January 1 to October 17, 2020, 86.1 thousand tons were delivered).
The main importer of pork is Vietnam, where 48.5 thousand tons of meat were shipped. This is 40% more than in the same period in 2020 (then this figure was 34.7 thousand tons).
Export to the territory of Ukraine - the second importer in terms of purchases of Russian pork - remained approximately at the level of the last year and amounted to 24.9 thousand tons.
Shipments to Belarus increased by 33% - from 14.7 thousand tons to 19.5 thousand tons.
Shipments to Mongolia increased significantly - by 89% (from 2.18 thousand tons to 4.12 thousand tons), to Kyrgyzstan - by 42% (from 222 tons to 316 tons), to Kazakhstan - by 30% (from 2 , 7 thousand tons to 3.5 thousand tons).
At the same time, the import of pork from abroad to Russia is decreasing. From the beginning of 20201 as of October 17, it amounted to 4 thousand tons, which is 16% less compared to the same period last year (then Russia imported 4.8 thousand tons).
Horsemeat
Export supplies of horse meat are also growing. From January 1 to October 17, 2021, shipments of this type of meat abroad increased 24 times - up to 1.07 thousand tons (for the same period last year, exports amounted to 43 tons).
The main buyer of horse meat is Kazakhstan, 1.01 thousand tons of products were shipped there. This is 72 times more than the volume of deliveries from January 1 to October 17, 2020 (then only 14 tons were sent).
Ukraine is another horse meat importer. A total of 55 tons of meat were shipped to the country (for the same period last year - 29 tons).
The import of horse meat to Russia from other states is decreasing. From the beginning of 2021 as of October 17, it amounted to 4.4 thousand tons. This is 34% less than in the same period last year, when imports were estimated at 6.7 thousand tons.
Rosselkhoznadzor is systematically working to increase the supply of meat abroad. According to the Service, in 2021, beef is exported to 23 countries, pork - to 15 countries.
