Rosselkhoznadzor sent a delegation to Beijing to resolve issues arising from the supply of Russian poultry meat to China.
As the press secretary of the service, Yulia Melano, said, the Chinese side had questions about the passage of Russian products through customs in the port of Shanghai. "They are associated with the registration of veterinary certificates," she explained.
"Our specialists were promptly sent to Beijing to resolve them, and negotiations with the main state customs administration of China will take place on Tuesday," she said.
As Melano noted, the Russian Federation is just starting deliveries of poultry meat to China, "so questions regarding the registration of veterinary certificates are quite possible."
“We will solve them promptly,” she added.
Russia received the right to export poultry meat to China in November 2018. Deliveries began in March. The export pioneer was the agricultural holding Miratorg. At the end of June, the first four batches of poultry products with total weight of 108 tons were sent to China by the Cherkizovo group. At the moment, 30 Russian enterprises have the right to export these products to China.
