In the period from May 21 to May 27, consumer prices in Russia have not changed, follows from Rosstat data. A week earlier, Russia experienced deflation at the level of 0.02%.

Since the beginning of May, consumer prices have increased by 0.13%, since the beginning of the year - by 11.82%. In annual terms, inflation as of May 27, 2022 (according to calculations using average daily data for this and last year for similar dates) was 17.35%.

During the reporting period, according to Rosstat, prices for pork decreased by 0.5%, chicken meat - by 0.4%, buckwheat and vermicelli - by 0.3%, pasta - by 0.1%. Prices for chicken eggs on average across the country decreased by 3%, for granulated sugar - by 0.9%. Chocolates on average in Russia rose by 1.3%.

Fruit and vegetable prices fell on average by 2.6%, including cucumbers - by 12.3%, tomatoes - by 8%, white cabbage - by 4.4%, table beets - by 1.3%, carrots - by 0 .7%. At the same time, prices for potatoes rose by 2.1%, onions and apples - by 1%, bananas - by 0.8%.

Prices for dry milk formulas for baby food rose by 1.1%, for margarine - by 1%, canned meat for baby food rose by 0.8%, rice - by 0.7%, table salt - by 0.6% . Mutton, semi-smoked and boiled-smoked sausages, sausages, sausages, frozen fish, rennet cheeses rose by 0.4%, sunflower oil, sterilized milk, bread, canned fruits and berries for baby food and black tea - by 0.3%. Prices for beef, pasteurized milk, cottage cheese, millet, vodka, lunches in canteens, cafes, snack bars - by 0.2%, butter and sour cream went up by 0.1%.
