During the week from August 29 to September 4, prices for chicken meat in Russia increased by an average of 1.5%. At the same time, in a number of regions the increase turned out to be more significant - up to 10.2%, as follows from the Rosstat report on the weekly change in consumer prices.

Thus, chicken meat prices have risen in 76 regions of the country over the past week. The growth ranged from 0.1 to 10.2%. The price of chicken decreased only in four regions. The decrease averaged 0.1–0.8%, according to Rosstat data. Since the beginning of the year, poultry meat has increased in price by 19.63%.

Semi-smoked and boiled-smoked sausages increased in price by 0.7% over the week. The price of boiled sausage and eggs increased by 0.6%. Sausages and sausages became more expensive by 0.3%. There has been a slight increase in prices for sausages (within 1.84–2.66%) since the beginning of the year. At the same time, eggs decreased in price by 2% compared to the price in December 2022.

Beef, pork and lamb became more expensive by another 0.2% over the week. Since the beginning of the year, the most significant increase in prices for lamb has been observed - by 12%. Pork prices have increased by almost 9% since December last year.

A slight weekly increase in prices is also observed for margarine, pasteurized milk, sour cream and cheeses – by 0.1%. Prices for these products have decreased since the beginning of the year, Rosstat notes.

Over the week, the price of frozen fish also decreased by 0.2%. At the same time, since the beginning of the year, its value has increased by 5.9%.
