Inflation in Russia for the period from March 12 to March 18, 2022 amounted to 1.93%, follows from Rosstat data. A week earlier, inflation in Russia was at the level of 2.09%.
Since the beginning of March, consumer prices have increased by 5.38%, since the beginning of the year - by 7.67%. In annual terms, inflation as of March 18, 2022 (according to calculations using average daily data for this and last year for similar dates) was 14.41%.
During the reporting period, according to Rosstat, in the category of food products, the prices for margarine grew most noticeably - by 2.8%, chocolates - by 2.6%, wheat flour - by 2.5%, beef, pasta, fruit and canned berries for baby food - by 2.1%, cookies - by 2%, sunflower oil, millet - by 1.9%, canned vegetables for baby food, vermicelli - by 1.6%, lunches in the canteen, cafe, snack bar (except for the canteen in the organization) - by 1.5%. The cost of rennet cheese, chicken eggs, bread and bakery products made from wheat flour of various varieties increased by 1.4%. Butter went up by 1.3%, mutton, milk, cottage cheese - by 1.2%, sour cream, dry milk formulas for baby food - by 1.1%, pork and rye bread - by 1%, sausages and sausages - by 0.9%.
Prices for granulated sugar on average in the country increased by 13.8%, salt and black tea - by 4%. Polished rice rose in price by 3.9%, buckwheat - by 3.3%.
Prices for fruits and vegetables increased by an average of 3.8%, including onions - by 13.7%, tomatoes - by 8.2%, bananas - by 7.8%, white cabbage - by 6.4% , carrots - by 5.6%, red beets - by 5.2%, apples - by 3.9%, potatoes - by 3.1%. At the same time, prices for cucumbers decreased by 6.6%.
