On November 3, 2022, the Rosselkhoznadzor held a meeting with the Minister-Counselor for Agriculture of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Thailand in the Russian Federation, Mr. Songkhla Chulakasyan, the press service of the RSHS reported.

The parties highly appreciated the cooperation within the framework of the Joint Russian-Thai Commission on Bilateral Cooperation and noted the positive dynamics in the development of trade relations between the two countries.

The Thai side reported that recently the meetings of the Risk Assessment and Market Access Committees were held at the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives of the Kingdom of Thailand, which considered the issue of access of Russian meat products (pork, beef and offal) to the Thai market. It is expected that the results will be sent to the Russian side in the near future.

At the same time, the Thai side will soon announce the status of the opening of deliveries of Russian poultry products to the Thai market.

At the same time, the Rosselkhoznadzor will soon send additional information, previously requested by the Thai colleagues, about Russian manufacturers of finished meat products that are interested in supplying their products to Thailand.

At the same time, the Service is studying materials on corrective measures to ensure the safety of products that have been taken by Thai fish suppliers and, upon completion of this work, will inform Thai colleagues about its results.

Work continues on the harmonization of forms of veterinary certificates for the export of various feed and feed additives for animals from Russia to Thailand. The Russian side requested up-to-date information on the requirements of the Kingdom of Thailand for various types of feed, depending on their composition (based on animal or vegetable raw materials).

Also, a form of a certificate for the supply of hatching eggs from Thailand to Russia and the EAEU member countries is under approval.

The parties noted the fruitful bilateral cooperation in the field of combating animal diseases. In particular, the Thai side expressed gratitude for the supply of the Russian vaccine against lumpy dermatitis.

Additionally, the parties expressed their readiness to develop cooperation in the field of electronic certification. Rosselkhoznadzor supported the initiative of the Thai side to organize a special online seminar on this issue, and also invited Thai colleagues to visit FGBI "ARRIAH" and get acquainted with Russian achievements in the field of animal health, GMO control and electronic certification.
