Russia and the DPRK entered into an important agreement on the test supply of meat products in 2024, which is a significant step in the development of economic cooperation between the two countries. This news was announced by the head of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation and the chairman of the intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation with the DPRK, Alexander Kozlov, in his telegram channel.
At the meeting of the intergovernmental commission in Pyongyang, other important issues of cooperation between Russia and the DPRK were also discussed. One of them was joint geological exploration of deposits of gold, iron and rare earth metals. This could lead to increased mining and new opportunities for economic growth in both countries.
Student exchange programs and an intergovernmental agreement on the mutual recognition of diplomas and academic degrees were also discussed. This paves the way for strengthening educational ties and allows students and scientists from both countries to gain valuable experience and knowledge.
An important topic of discussion was interaction in sports and culture. Such initiatives can help strengthen friendly ties between peoples and deepen mutual understanding.
Alexander Kozlov, who was appointed chairman of the intergovernmental commission in August 2022, already has experience in this area. He previously headed the commission while serving as Minister for the Development of the Far East and Arctic. His experience and knowledge will make him a valuable participant in the development of cooperation between Russia and the DPRK.
