In the first trimester of 2021, 22,000 tons of pork were shipped. This amounted to 43% of all imports of pork in the country.

On June 11, Artem Daushev, Assistant to the Head of Rosselkhoznadzor (Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance), had a video conference with Truong Hoang Minh, Trade Counselor of the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the Russian Federation.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects of Russian-Vietnamese trade and economic cooperation in agriculture.

At the meeting, they said there has been an increase in supplies of Russian pork to the Vietnamese market. Trade Counsellor of the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia, Mr. Duong Hoang Minh, said that during the first four months of 2021, 22,000 thousand tons of pork products were shipped. This amounted to 43% of all pork imports in the country.

Artem Daushev, the Assistant to the Head of Rosselkhoznadzor, said that all the products exported from Russia are subject to strict veterinary control and laboratory tests are carried out in accordance with the requirements of the importing country. The system of information traceability of livestock products implies control over the turnover at all stages of their production.

The parties expressed satisfaction with the results of Russian-Vietnamese trade and economic cooperation and agreed to continue the dialogue on the topics voiced.
