Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision - Rosselkhoznadzor - has introduced temporary restrictions on the supply of live poultry and poultry products to Russia from areas of Germany and the Czech Republic that are unfavorable for bird flu.Russia bans poultry  from the Czech Republic and Germany

In connection with the deterioration of the epizootic situation for avian influenza in Germany and the Czech Republic, the Rosselkhoznadzor is taking measures to prevent its introduction into the territory of the Russian Federation. To ensure the biological safety of the country, the department introduces temporary restrictions on the import of live poultry and poultry products from the territories of these countries that are unfavorable for disease.

So, from December 10, 2021, the Service introduced a temporary ban on the import of these products into Russia from the districts of Harburg (federal state of Lower Saxony), Altenburg (federal state of Thuringia) and the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia of Germany.

In addition, from the same date, deliveries of live poultry and poultry products are prohibited from the South Moravian and Liberec regions of the Czech Republic.
