"That is, despite the presence of sanctions, in fact, a logistical war with us, bans on settlements, disconnecting us from the interbank system, trade in food and mineral fertilizers continues. It is difficult. We are overcoming these difficulties. But there is trade," she stressed.
In addition, according to the vice-premier, an experiment was conducted with Turkey in the autumn on settlements in rubles.
"So far, this is an experiment rather than a rule. Our Central Bank is working with all friendly countries in order to apply the settlement mechanism in national currencies. That is, in principle, it is possible. The first experiment was successful," Abramchenko said, recalling that the Russian Federation trades in food with 150 countries.
"This is a fairly large number of states, and these are the states where the population is growing the most. And these countries are friendly towards the Russian Federation," she noted.
The Deputy Prime Minister specified that the Russian Federation mainly exports grain crops and vegetable oils. "But the food line is expanding all the time. For example, we already have some success in the Asian region in the supply of meat products," she said. The key export destinations this year were Turkey and Egypt.
As reported, according to the forecast of the Ministry of Agriculture, the export of agricultural products from the Russian Federation this year can reach $40 billion against $37.1 billion in 2021.
