During 2022, Russia exported agricultural products to 160 countries of the world, with China taking the first place in terms of supplies.
The total volume of exports of agricultural products of the Russian Federation at the end of 2022 amounted to $41.6 billion, exceeding the figure for 2021 by 12.2%. China ranked first among the leading importers of Russian agricultural products at the end of the year ($5.1 billion), Turkey came in second with almost the same volume of supplies. This is followed by Kazakhstan ($3.4 billion), Belarus ($2.8 billion) and the Republic of Korea ($2.3 billion).
According to experts, the largest share in the value of 2022 is traditionally occupied by grain exports (32.3%). This is followed by oil and fat products (21.9%) and other agricultural products (14.6%), fish and seafood (14.2%), food and processing industry products (12.7%). Compared to 2021, the largest increase in export earnings is observed in the products of the oil and fat industry (an increase of 24.7%), other agricultural products (an increase of 23.4%), and the grain industry (an increase of 17.6%).
The cumulative average annual growth rate of exports of Russian agro-industrial complex products in the period from 2018 to 2022 amounted to about 13%: fat and oil products demonstrated the highest rate (growth by 30%), the second place was taken by the meat and dairy industry (growth by 29%), other agricultural products also showed a noticeable increase (by 22%).
