Russian Permanent Representative to the UN in Geneva Gennady Gatilov said in an interview with Reuters that Russia had sent a letter to UN Secretary General António Guterres with a list of claims in connection with the food deal.

"If we see that nothing happens on the Russian side of the deal - the export of Russian grain and fertilizers - then I'm sorry, we will have to look at it differently," Gatilov said.

In addition, he did not rule out that Russia may refuse to support the resumption of the deal due to its concerns.

"There is such a possibility... We are not against the supply of grain, but this deal must be equal, it must be fair and fairly implemented by all parties," the diplomat said, answering a relevant question.

Gatilov stressed that after the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge, it would be more difficult for the Russian Federation to reach a political solution to the situation in Ukraine. Answering a question about the possibility of a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart Joe Biden, the permanent representative noted that this is impossible, given the current level of US military support for Ukraine. According to the diplomat, "this makes the United States a party to the conflict."
