Russia has been able to increase export volumes since the beginning of this year, despite the difficult economic situation. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Victoria Abramchenko, speaking at a round table on food security as part of SPIEF-2022.
According to Victoria Abramchenko, the Russian Federation increased the export of agricultural products over the five months of 2022, including to Belarus by 33%, to South Korea by 16%, and to India by 3.6 times. “We will continue to further increase the volume of exports from the agricultural sector,” she said.
In addition, Victoria Abramchenko called on the world community, in particular, the FAO and other international organizations, to create an international arbiter in the field of food. In her opinion, the new organization could be an analogue of the Red Cross in the field of food security.
