According to the Argus Rosselkhoznadzor system, exports of meat and meat products increased by almost 20% from January 1 to July 15, 2022 compared to the same period last year. Moreover, foreign deliveries of mutton and goat meat increased 20 times.
Thus, from the beginning of this year to July 15, Russian exporters delivered 362.5 thousand tons of meat and meat products abroad. This is 18.5% more than the same period last year, when 305.8 thousand tons were shipped.
The volumes of deliveries of Russian beef abroad have grown. From the beginning of the current year to July 15, Russian cattle breeders exported 18.5 thousand tons of beef. Whereas for the same period last year, 14.8 thousand tons of this meat were sent abroad.
77.3 thousand tons of pork were delivered abroad during the specified period (for the same period last year - 72.3 thousand tons).
The volume of export deliveries of lamb and goat meat increased 20 times. From January 1 of this year to July 15, 912 tons of this meat were sent abroad, while for the same period last year - only 44 tons.
Also, growth in exports is observed for poultry meat. From the beginning of the current year to July 15, 194.7 thousand tons of poultry meat were shipped abroad. For the same period in 2021, a little more than 138 thousand tons of this meat were exported. Earlier, the head of the National Union of Poultry Breeders, Sergei Lakhtyukhov, said that there was potential to increase the export of Russian poultry meat to 500,000 tons per year.
