Russian producers increased the export of beef and poultry meat by 30% over the first 9 months of this year compared to the same period last year, the press service of Rosselkhoznadzor reports following a webinar for Russian participants in foreign economic activity, which was attended by the head of the service Sergey Dankvert.
The webinar also provided information on the volume of exports of other types of meat. Thus, foreign supplies of Russian pork for 9 months of this year increased by 16% compared to the same period last year, shipments of finished meat products increased by 12%. Exports of butter, cheese and cottage cheese also increased.
Representatives of the service noted that the export of chicken meat to the United Arab Emirates increased 4 times, the supply of beef to Vietnam increased 6 times. This is data for 9 months of this year compared to the same period in 2021. During this period, shipments of Russian pork to Hong Kong increased by almost 5 times.
The key to the further development of foreign trade is strict compliance with the legislative requirements of foreign countries, Sergei Dankvert emphasized at a webinar with exporters. “Exporters have a great responsibility for the prestige of Russian products. In no case should the level of control over the entire chain - from production to shipment - be reduced. The slightest violation of the rules of the importing state can lead to serious consequences,” the head of the Rosselkhoznadzor emphasized.
