This year, for the first time, Russia became a partner country of the International Exhibition of Ready-made Food and Beverages Anuga-2021 – one of the most significant events in the food industry, which is traditionally held in Cologne (Germany).
The event that has been held for more than a hundred years combines ten thematic fairs, which showcase various categories of food presented by leading manufacturers from all over the world. Organic products is to be a special section this year.
The exhibition will also include cooking classes, lectures, training seminars and congresses with the participation of international analysts and food industry specialists. This year's event will offer visitors a trend zone – a space for demonstrating advanced technologies and research, as well as a special section dedicated to Halal products. In addition, the thematic digital platform of the exhibition will be launched.
Domestic companies’ products have already been presented on the Anuga-2021 exhibition. In 2019, 27 Russian manufacturers from 20 regions of the country participated. From October 9 to 13, visitors of the exhibition will be able to get acquainted with a variety of domestic food products and enjoy dishes of national cuisine.
Russia supplies food to 177 countries around the world and is one of the top twenty exporters of agricultural products. At the end of 2020, our country received a record revenue from its sales abroad – 30.7 billion dollars, which is 20% more than a year earlier. Russia is the largest supplier of wheat, as well as a leading exporter of barley, sunflower and rapeseed oils, frozen fish, and crustaceans. Increasing Russian organic products supplies also have a high potential. The growth of production capacities and state support for processing enterprises facilitates the shipments increase of high-value-added goods.
