Russia participated in the 26th edition of the Gulfood 2021 Exhibition, which was held at Dubai World Trade Centre from 21 to 25 February.

It is the world's largest annual food and beverage trade exhibition. Over twenty Russian companies introduced dairy products, cheese, chocolate, candies, caviar, mineral water, and other goods demanded in the Persian Gulf countries.

The Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sergey Levin led the Russian delegation at the event. Representatives of the Russian Export Center, VEB.RF, agricultural enterprises, and industry unions also attended the exhibition.

The Middle East and Africa are promising for increasing supplies of domestic products. The countries account for 17% of total Russian agricultural exports, with shipments increased by 17% to over 5 billion dollars last year.

“Domestic producers can find new business partners, negotiate profitable contracts and discover new markets for their products at the exhibition”, Sergey Levin said. He noted that the Ministry would continue to support the participation of Russian companies in such significant events.

Besides, the Gulfood 2021 agenda included talks with UAE authorities and other business sessions.
