The Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) has lifted the restrictions on the import of products by three Belarusian companies on Friday, BelTA news agency reported.
Beef and beef products by Borisov Meat Processing Plant No. 1, dairy products of Molodechno Dairy Plant, and some products of OOO Akdimol will now be allowed for import in the territory of the Russian Federation, the watchdog announced.
Products made as from 16 August will be eligible for the import to Russia, the statement said, adding that the imported products should be accompanied by digital veterinary certificates.
Rosselkhoznadzor made the decision after perusing materials sent by the Belarusian side, taking into account the measures taken to address the violations and in view of the guarantees issued by the Veterinary and Food Oversight Department of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.
In May, the watchdog banned the supply of meat products from four Belarusian companies, citing “repeated violation of the veterinary and sanitary requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).”
The restrictions on the supply of milk and dairy products without packaging for 37 enterprises of Belarus were also introduced in May, while restrictions imposed to another 29 Belarusian companies remained in force.
