During the first half of this year, the production of meat products in Russian farms of all categories increased by 2.7 percent or 138 thousand tons to 5.335 million tons in carcass weight.
Most of it was poultry meat - 47 percent. In exact figures, this amounted to 2.527 million tons in slaughter and 3.438 million tons in live weight. This is one and a half percent higher than in the same period last year. The share of agricultural organizations (hereinafter, the indicator in slaughter weight is indicated) accounted for 2.404 million tons (+1.6 percent). However, in households and farms, the output of this product decreased by 0.2 and 2.3 percent - to 103 and 19.9 thousand tons, respectively. Among specific districts, the indicator increased by 0.6 percent in the Central, 2.1 in the Southern Federal District, 2.3 in the Volga region, 6.8 in the North Caucasus and 9.2 in Siberia. At the same time, it fell by 2.1% in the Northwestern Federal District, by 4.2% in the Urals, and by 4.4% in the Far East.
The second place was taken by pork with 40 percent. In slaughter and live weight, it received 2.118 and 2.889 million tons, respectively, which is 4.7 percent higher than last year's value. The output of these products increased only in agricultural organizations - by 5.9 percent to 1.989 million tons. In subsidiary and private farms, it decreased by 10.4 and 10.7% to 120,000 and 8,900 tons. Its production increased the most in the Far East (by 20 percent), it increased by 9.7 percent in the Volga region, by nine in the Central District, and in the Southern Federal District by 2.9 percent. It decreased by 3.8 percent in the North Caucasus, 4.8 percent in the Urals, 9.8 percent in Siberia, and 11.8 percent in the Northwestern District. The share of beef was 12 percent, 629 and 1.104 million tons (+0.7 percent). The industrial production of beef increased by 4.2 percent or up to 300 thousand tons, in peasant farms - by 1.4 to 72.5 thousand, and households decreased by 3.2 percent to 257 thousand tons.
Least of all was the share of lamb and goat meat - one percent of the total Russian meat production. They were released 135,000 tons live and 61,100 tons in slaughter weight (+0.4 percent). Industrial production increased by 14.7 percent to 4,700 tons, in peasant farms - by 1.3 percent to 18,900 tons, households - decreased by 1.9 percent to 36,800 tons. Of the districts, its production decreased by 4.4 percent in the Far East, by 4.2 percent in the Urals, and by 2.1 percent in the North-West. It increased by 0.6 percent in the Central, 2.1 in the South, 2.3 in the Volga, 6.8 in the North Caucasus and 9.2 in the Siberian federal districts.
