The Russian Ministry of Economic Development has developed a draft law allowing the Russian government to temporarily reduce export duty rates on agricultural products and other goods for export to friendly countries. It is reported by RBC with reference to the document of the bill.
They will concern the supply of products from certain regions of Russia. It also considers the introduction of special quotas for the export of goods that are planned to be supplied. Appropriate amendments will be made to the law "On Customs Tariffs". The ministry itself, as well as the government, also confirmed the information.
Today, this proposal of the ministry was considered by the government commission on legislative activities. She approved it, noting that it would support exporters from a number of regions who plan to participate in such an experiment. Their list has not been approved, but will be prepared as the final approval of the bill. At the same time, other details of the implementation of the bill will be known. The Ministry of Economic Development itself noted that this measure would make the customs and tariff policy in Russia more flexible.
