One of the stages of agreement with the Korean department on the conditions for exporting Russian horse meat to the territory of the Republic of Korea has been completed, the Rosselkhoznadzor reports.
We are talking about the approval of a veterinary certificate for the export of Russian meat obtained during the slaughter and processing of horses to Korea. Further, potential suppliers of products should receive a questionnaire from the Rosselkhoznadzor, after filling it out, they will need to send it to the Korean supervisory authority.
Preliminarily, manufacturers or suppliers must be registered in the Cerberus information system, which keeps records of organizations entitled to export products.
The main regions producing horse meat products in Russia are Yakutia, Tatarstan, Bashkiria, Altai, Tyva, Buryatia, and the North Caucasus.
