From September 6 to 9, the international exhibition of food and beverages World Food Istanbul 2023 was held in Istanbul (Turkey). 30 Russian manufacturers presented their products as part of the national collective exposition under the Made in Russia brand, which was organized by the Russian Export Center (VEB.RF).

From the first day of WorldFood Istanbul 2023, the Russian stand aroused great interest among representatives of the agricultural industry from all over the world. During the 4 days of the exhibition at the Made in Russia stand, companies held more than 440 b2b meetings with potential partners from Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Syria, Lebanon, Serbia, Azerbaijan, Iran, China and other countries. The potential for negotiations was $50 million.

Russian exporters were able to meet and hold meaningful negotiations with such Turkish business associations as the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, the Committee on Foreign Economic Relations, and the Association of Independent Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkey. In addition, potential partners of Russian companies include large distributors, wholesale companies, online stores, retail chains and representatives of local business associations.

The Made in Russia exposition was also visited by the Consul General of Russia in Istanbul Andrey Buravov.

On September 8, one of the key events of the World Food Istanbul 2023 business program took place - a panel discussion “New Markets and Growth Strategies in Food Exports”, in which the prospects for trade cooperation between Russia and Turkey and the development of exports Nadzhibullo Jabbori, head of the department for the development of international projects of the REC, told about the products of the agro-industrial complex under the brand “Made in Russia” to Turkey.
