According to the Federal Center for the Development of Export of Agricultural Products (FGBI “Agroexport”) of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, the Russian beef exports have doubled as compared to the same period of the previous year and in terms of value are worth $29 million.

China is the largest importer of Russian beef ($18 million), followed by Uzbekistan ($3.5 million), Saudi Arabia ($3.3 million), Morocco ($1.6 million), and Kazakhstan ($0.7 million).

According to the data provided by the Argus system of Rosselkhoznadzor, for the period from January 1 to April 15, the total volume of beef exports reached 9.3 thousand tons, which is higher than the result recorded in the same period last year, when the volume of exports totaled 6.6 thousand tons.
