All news / Russian farmers appealed to Vladimir Putin on the situation with crop prices

The Leningrad Region hosted an extended meeting of the Presidium of the Council of ACKOR, at which they discussed questions and proposals received from farmers from different regions of our country. In a direct dialogue with representatives of small businesses, problematic topics were carefully analyzed, The DairyNews was told in the press service of ACCOR.

The main issue that worries farmers today is the situation with prices for the 2022 harvest. In recent years, it has been possible to significantly increase the volume of agricultural production. Timely measures taken to protect farmers from the imposed sanctions helped domestic agricultural producers prepare for spring sowing, purchase seeds, mineral fertilizers, and spare parts in the required volumes. The sowing campaign was carried out at the optimal time.

Harvesting is actively underway today, and a good harvest is expected. At the same time, grain prices collapsed on the market.

With a significant increase in costs, the prevailing prices do not cover the costs incurred.

The Presidium of the AKKOR Council decided to appeal to the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin on these issues.

“In order to maintain the planned production growth rates, we ask you to facilitate the launch of large-scale intervention trades, as well as the abolition of the export duty on grain crops,” the appeal says.
