Russian food companies are increasingly using domestic machinery. Promoting the use of domestic machinery with official policies, Moscow carries the expectation that the domestic food processing industry sector will grow threefold by 2030.
Measures to provide state support have a positive impact on the development of domestic mechanical engineering for the food processing industry. The share of Russian producers on the local market is growing along with the volume of manufactured equipment. The Ministry of Industry is optimistic and expects the production of machines for the food industry will increase by three times by 2030. For the first 10 months of the previous year, food engineers have increased the production by 6% to 200 million dollars. Growth in 2015-2016 was 5-6%. In 2017, the volumes of production of equipment for the sugar industry increased almost one and a half times. Equipment for meat production showed an increase of 22%. And for milk, the increase was 15%.
