The government approved the allocation of funds to 33 regions of the Russian Federation to reimburse part of the costs of commissioning dairy and sheep farms, as well as storage facilities and breeding and seed centers. This was reported in the press service of the Russian government.

‘The draft order proposes to allocate funds to the budgets of 33 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, bearing in mind that the allocation of money will ensure the commissioning of dairy livestock complexes (dairy farms) with a total capacity of at least 56.8 thousand stalls, storage facilities with a total capacity of at least 195 thousand tons of one-time storage, sheep breeding complexes (farms) of meat purpose with a total capacity of at least 25 thousand stalls and breeding and seed centers in crop production with a total capacity of at least 70 thousand tons of seeds,’ the message says.

In addition, the government approved the allocation of funds to 13 regions to reimburse part of the costs of creating and modernizing dairy farms with a total capacity of at least 10.8 thousand livestock and storage facilities with a total capacity of at least 17.3 thousand tons of one-time storage. The allocation of funds to the Ministry of Agriculture for reimbursement of costs to producers engaged in the breeding and maintenance of dairy cattle was also approved. ‘The draft order is aimed at preserving the number of dairy cattle in 2021 in the amount of at least 2,124.1 thousand in farms that have received other inter-budget transfers, due to a significant increase in the cost of feed,’ the report says.
