The Ministry of Agriculture, together with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Transport, is exploring the possibility of acquiring and building new vessels for the export of Russian food, said Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev at the All-Russian Grain Forum.
According to him, in the current situation, food exports largely depend on logistics. But due to the actions of some international logistics companies, the delivery of Russian food to consumers is now limited.
“We are interested in our exporters having their own fleet,” the minister said.
According to him, there is already an agreement with the departments that certain capacities at the shipyards can be provided for the construction of ships for the supply of food. The Ministry of Agriculture intends to initiate the issue of state support for such projects - preferential loans, capex, preferential leasing.
