 Russia's foreign trade turnover, according to the Bank of Russia, in January-February 2022 increased by 54.9% to $148.3 billion compared to a year earlier. This was reported by Rosstat.

Including exports increased by 68.5% to $96 million, imports – by 35% to $52.3 billion. The trade balance remained positive, $43.7 billion.

Industrial production in March 2022 increased by 3% compared to the same period in 2021. Compared to February 2022, the growth was 9.9%. In general, in the first quarter of 2022, industrial production increased by 5.9% compared to January-March 2021. This was reported by Rosstat.

Three sectors of the economy out of four taken into account when calculating the industrial production index showed positive dynamics. Extractive industries grew by 7.8% by March, the energy sector, heat and gas supply - by 1.5%, industries related to water supply and sanitation, waste disposal and pollution elimination – by 7.2%.

Manufacturing industries reduced their output by 0.3%. A decrease in the volume of output in March compared to a year earlier was observed in the following industries: production of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (-45.5%), production of tobacco products (-16.3%), production of other vehicles (-14.1%), production of electrical equipment (-11%), repair and installation of machinery and equipment (-6.3%), production of coke and petroleum products (-5.2%).
