All news / Singapore to import frozen poultry meat from Russia

The Food Agency of the Republic of Singapore (SFA) reported in an official letter dated July 22, 2019 that, based on an assessment of the materials provided in relation to the control of avian influenza in the Russian Federation, as well as the veterinary control system, the possibility of exporting frozen poultry from Russia to Singapore was approved.

This result was achieved  through the operation of FGIS VetIS. The use of the system allows to fully ensure the traceability of the products manufactured and exported. The use of the system "Mercury" does not allow to issue a veterinary accompanying document on products manufactured in the territory having a dysfunctional status of avian influenza. This approach was highly appreciated by the Singapore Veterinary Service and was noted as one of the key factors in accepting the Service’s guarantees for exported poultry products.
