The Stavropol Territory continues to increase its foreign trade turnover. To date, this figure is approaching half a billion dollars. This was announced by the head of the region Vladimir Vladimirov at a press conference in Moscow, which took place on December 23.

In the Stavropol Territory, there is a national project "International Cooperation and Export", the implementation of which is supervised by the regional Ministry of Economics. On behalf of Governor Vladimir Vladimirov, the department continues to search for new markets and build supply chains. This leads to an annual increase in foreign trade turnover.

To date, this figure has almost reached the mark of half a billion dollars, Pobeda26 news agency reports. At the same time, the main export potential of the region depends on the agricultural sector. In particular, from the production of poultry meat.

“40% of Russia's chicken meat exports are provided by the Stavropol Territory. The second place is our sunflower oil, then lamb and grain. We all withstood the export figures,” said Stavropol Governor Vladimir Vladimirov.

Recall that in 2022, the Stavropol Territory exported poultry meat to Singapore for the first time. The total volume of deliveries amounted to 52 tons. Today, local products can already be found in the markets of the republic.
