All news / Thailand carries out an inspection of Russian beef exporters

Two groups of inspectors representing the Department of Livestock Development of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kingdom of Thailand (DLD) arrived in Moscow, the press service of the Rosselkhoznadzor reports. The main purpose of their working visit to Russia is to check three potential beef exporters for compliance with the veterinary requirements of this state of Southeast Asia.

 

In addition, the visit program includes the study of the experience of Russian veterinary services and a system of measures to localize foci of African swine fever. Preliminarily, the work schedule of DLD representatives in Russia was discussed in Bangkok on August 15 at a meeting of specialists from the Russian veterinary and phytosanitary surveillance service with colleagues from Thailand. After visiting the laboratories subordinate of the Rosselkhoznadzor and the Federal Center for Animal Health (FGBI "VNIIZZH"), inspectors from Thailand will visit enterprises in the Bryansk and Belgorod regions. This is the first visit by DLD representatives to open a market for Russian meat products. According to the agreements reached in Bangkok, Russian inspectors will conduct a similar inspection of Thai fishing enterprises in order to consider the possibility of importing their products.
