The average check of a resident of Russia for one trip to the store in June 2019 increased by 3 rubles compared to May, or by 0.5%, and amounted to 556 rubles, according to a study by the Romir holding, reports RIA Novosti.
"As well as the volume of total daily expenses, the average check in the second quarter remained fairly stable. May check decreased by 0.7% compared to April, while the June check increased by 0.5% compared to May. Thus , according to the results of the first summer month, the size of the average check was 556 rubles with the May indicator of 553 rubles and the April one - 557 rubles, ”the study says.
Compared with June last year, the figure increased by 2.4%. In June, the average check decreased as compared to May only in the Far Eastern (by 1.7%, to 628 rubles) and Central (by 1.1%, to 607 rubles) federal districts. In the remaining districts it increased: in Siberia - by 2.6%, to 477 rubles, in the South - by 2.1%, to 580 rubles, in the North-West - by 1.1%, to 618 rubles, in the Volga region - by 1%, up to 508 rubles, in the Urals - by 0.5%, up to 577 rubles.
The average check in the hypermarkets of the Russian Federation in June 2019 increased by 2.7% compared with May, in supermarkets - by 0.8%. In discounters, it decreased by 1.9%, in traditional trade stores - by 0.8%. In annual terms, the indicator in hypermarkets has not changed, while in other formats it has grown by 4%.
