The fiscal data operator Taxcom has compiled a rating of Russian cities with the lowest average price for a chicken. The basis was information from cash checks for October 2017 - November 2018, reports Meat Expert.
Moscow appeared to be a leader in that rating: here a kilogram of white meat costs about 205 rubles (the average for Russia is 280 rubles). Thigh and wings in the capital of Russian Federation are offered for 170-200 rubles.
84% of the Russian chicken market is occupied by unknown companies. Petelinka is leading among brands with a 5% market share. The brands “Blagoyar”, “Troyekurovo” and “Lovela” - have 3%, the “Clear Dawns” brand - 2%, writes RETAIL & LOYALTY magazine.
As of the turkey meat market, the leader is "Indilite" (35%). The brand "Pava-Pava" is preferred by 19% of buyers. A kilogram of turkey in the country costs on average 305 rubles. The cheapest turkey meat may be found in Voronezh (240 rubles per kg).
