In January-March 2022, the cost of poultry production increased by 16-17%, said Galina Bobyleva, head of Rosptitsesoyuz, at the Compound Feed 2022 conference.
As follows from the calculations of Rosptitsesoyuz, in the first quarter of 2022, the price of soybean meal increased most sharply (64 rubles / kg versus 47.8 rubles / kg in January 2022) and premixes (1 kg rose from 210 to 274 rubles ).
The problem with rising feed prices is exacerbated by the fact that the procedure for working with suppliers has changed, Galina Bobyleva noted.
– All resources are supplied to poultry farms on a prepaid basis. We cannot supply our products for trade on similar terms. The delay in payment by retailers for socially important goods is 25 days, and for other products it can reach two to three months. Our businesses are facing a big cash gap. The lack of working capital is the most important problem of the industry today, - said the general director of Rosptitsesoyuz.
