An increase in agricultural production in Russia by a quarter and exports by one and a half times, which President Vladimir Putin announced in his Address to the Federal Assembly, will become possible thanks to a number of factors, including state support and the opening of new markets. As Rossiyskaya Gazeta writes, this was stated by Dmitry Osyanin, associate professor of the basic department of financial control, analysis and audit of the Main Control Directorate of the city of Moscow, Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.
In particular, product output should increase due to financial and non-financial assistance to the industry and investments in it until at least 2030. Let us remind you that the list of state support measures is constantly expanding. For example, this year, following the example of other industries, preferential and other types of loans became available for dairy farming, grain producers are annually allocated funds to compensate for the transportation of agricultural products, state support measures for small farms have been expanded, etc.
Expansion of exports, according to Osyanin, will be possible thanks to the opening of new markets instead of Western countries (including friendly ones). They plan to expand cooperation and improve foreign trade relations. Also, over the next six years, we will continue to improve the quality of Russian agricultural products and their compliance with international standards. This will help increase demand for it in the global food market, which will also have a positive effect on its supplies abroad. The economist named the increase in production itself, as well as the expansion of agricultural land and more active cultivation of products, as other important factors for the development of exports.
At the same time, to achieve these goals, as Osyanin noted, we must not forget about improving infrastructure, training personnel, promoting innovation and increasing the competitiveness of Russian products on the world market.
