Based on the results of the first 9 months of this year, the volume of the farm animal insurance market with state support reached 2.3 billion rubles. Compared to the same period last year, the increase was 10%, said the President of the National Union of Agricultural Insurers (NAA) Korney Bizhdov.

At the same time, in the total volume of insurance with state support, the share of animal insurance decreased from 31.3% in 2022 to 29.4% in 2023.

Based on the results of January – September of this year, the agricultural insurance market with state support reached 7.8 billion rubles. Over 70% of support falls on the crop production risk insurance segment. The insurance premium under these contracts exceeded 5.5 billion rubles, which is 19% more than for the same period last year.

The third growing area in the agricultural insurance segment with state support is insurance of commercial aquaculture. The volume of insurance premiums in this segment reached 27 million rubles.
