The investment project for the construction of the first in Russia breeding and genetic center in dairy cattle breeding, which will result in genetic breeding products, is planned to be implemented in the Kaliningrad region in 2019, reports the regional governor Anton Alikhanov.

 "In 2019, the Zalessky Milk group of companies together with German partners MASTERRIND and RBB companies plan to implement an unique investment project for the construction of Russia's first breeding and genetic center in dairy cattle breeding", the governor said.

He added that the total cost of the project is estimated at 629 million rubles. The tripartite agreement between the government of the Kaliningrad Region, the Zalessky Milk State Company and the Agricultural Bank was concluded at the end of last year. The agreement provides the construction of two livestock farms and a high-tech breeding and genetic center with a total cost of more than 4.4 billion rubles.
