Farms for raising Nenets reindeer in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug received certificates.
Experts from the Certification Body of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “VGNKI” have successfully completed the certification procedure for compliance with the requirements of the GOST 33980-2016 standard “Organic production products. Rules of production, processing, labeling and sales" in two farms of JSC "Sovkhoz "Baidaratsky" and SPK "Tazovsky" in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
The enterprises are engaged in raising domestic reindeer of the Nenets breed, slaughtering them and processing meat.
During the audit, experts from the Federal State Budgetary Institution "VGNKI" conducted documentary inspections of the farm and visits directly to the production sites. During on-site inspections, herds of reindeer roaming the tundra together with reindeer herding teams along approved herding routes were examined.
In addition, veterinary measures for treating animals were checked, and soil samples were taken for testing for residual pesticide content.
JSC "State Farm "Baidaratsky" and SPK "Tazovsky" became the first enterprises in our country to receive certificates of conformity for organic production for venison and its processed products. Thus, the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug is now a new region on the organic map of the country.
The above-mentioned enterprises can now, together with the “organic product” label, use a graphic image (sign) of organic products of a single type on the packaging.
