World meat industry news

The Russian government instructed the Ministry of Agriculture, together with the interested federal executive bodies and the business community, to develop a road map to provide the food industry with domestic packaging. This became known following a meeting on the production of domestic cardboard and polymer packaging chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko.

The discussion was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Agriculture, other interested federal executive bodies, industry associations, the business community - manufacturers of finished products and packaging materials.

During the meeting, the participants discussed the provision of food producers with packaging materials, the availability of raw materials for the production of packaging in the domestic market and the problems of import supplies, and other issues.
