Grain prices on the world market will continue to grow, which does not rule out an increase in food inflation. The Russian Federation has tools to contain it, says Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev.

"The price of grain in our country is somewhat unstable now, it is increasing taking into account the situation in the Black Sea, taking into account the fact that there were precedents when there were attacks on civilian ships," the minister told reporters in the Omsk region.

"I think that for the time being, perhaps, grain prices will rise. As a result, in the near future we may see certain situations associated with an increase in food inflation," he said, noting that this would most likely concern the European continent.

"At the same time, food inflation in our country is rather insignificant," the minister stressed.

According to him, the government has a lot of tools to curb food inflation in the territory of the Russian Federation. “Here we are talking about measures of the same tariff regulation, here we are also talking about the measures that we can offer as part of the formation of an intervention fund for grain. Well, and ending with the fact that we can specifically support individual sub-sectors of the agro-industrial complex and agriculture ", Patrushev said.

Patrushev is on a working trip to a number of Siberian regions.
