As of January 12, applications for the import of 225.98 tons of products were accepted for consideration, as follows from the department’s materials.The Cabinet of Ministers abolished customs duties on the import of frozen domestic chicken meat in the amount of up to 140 thousand tons for the period from January 1 to December 31, 2024.

The decision is aimed at maintaining stable prices for these products by increasing supply in the domestic market.

According to the government decree signed in December, the Ministry of Agriculture is responsible for issuing documents for duty-free import. In addition, the ministry publishes on its official website data on the remaining volumes of products for which tariff relief is provided.
